Fairfield Inn and Suites Orlando Kissimmee Celebration

The rooms were standard Marriott, and housekeeping did a good job, but the front desk employee really made the trip for us. We arrived dreading a work conference none of us had wanted to attend. The young woman with blue hair greeted us, and, despite my first reaction, she turned out to be thoughtful and such a pleasure to deal with. I can't remember her name. I think it began with “T,” but I'm not sure. She made check-in easy and checked that everything in our rooms met our expectations. We ran into her on a few evenings, too, and she was just as attentive, asking if we needed anything and helping us find restaurants we'd like. I'd happily have her greet us on every business trip. Since I can't arrange that, this review is my way of recognizing her customer service, which gets a 10/10 from me.

Housekeeping came only three times during our 11-day stay. I told the front desk every morning and repeatedly asked for service, but the room usually went uncleaned. Even after I pointed out the problem and requested housekeeping again on our final morning, nobody came. For a stay that long, this was unacceptable and had a significant effect on our experience.

It was easy to get around from here: Celebration, Disney, and Old Town are close, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Publix is right across the street, which was especially convenient. Free parking was a big plus, and we appreciated that the hotel welcomes pets. Our room was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly, and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend for a comfortable and convenient stay.

The only real snag was that one of the two elevators wasn't working. It didn't bother me much, though I'd seen reviews from months earlier mentioning an elevator outage, so I have to wonder why the repair took so long. Still, things like that can happen anywhere, and I'd stay here again without hesitation. I went in expecting the worst after reading so many bad reviews, but the place was great. Check-in was quick, my room was clean, spacious, and quiet, and the breakfast was good by hotel standards.
