Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs

The jacuzzi was easily my favorite part, especially after a long day at the park. The food we ordered from the bar around 9:30pm was really good, and we got a few appetizers to share. It wasn’t busy, but our food took over an hour. Nobody checked in or spoke to us about the delay. The bartender was trying to handle a million things alone and did apologize. I picked this hotel because it’s so convenient to walk to the springs, but this stay wasn’t as good as my last one. I was told the fees had gone up. I understand costs are part of doing business, but higher parking and resort charges don’t feel worthwhile when there haven’t been improvements or new amenities. The gate code they gave me didn’t work, so I had to go back. There’s no microwave in the room, the TVs are old and the remotes barely work, and there’s no complimentary water or breakfast. Other hotels at the same price offer those things. When we left to check out, our room door wouldn’t lock. A housekeeper told us that happens often. We worried the door might have been unlocked all night, though there was no way to know. The small details matter, and it feels like the staff hinted that things are being taken away from guests while prices rise for the hotel’s benefit. I understand it’s a business, but for a busy hotel that isn’t losing customers, there should be a middle ground. Hopefully it’ll be different if we go again.

Being able to walk across the bridge right beside the hotel to Disney Springs was one of the best parts. You can also register for free bus rides to and from the parks, and the 24/7 lobby grab and go store was handy. The coffee at the counter was very good. We had a Garden room. Great value, clean, with comfortable beds and great service. The pool was lovely too. I’d stay here again.

We only needed a night, and the price and closeness to Disney Springs worked out really well. The room was no frills, just what we needed. The bathroom was basic but clean, and even the grout, which I always notice, was white. Sheets and pillowcases were clean too. We didn’t see the pool, and didn’t use the park shuttle this time, but it was nice to know it was an option. The bellhop outside was pleasant and waited with us, loaded our luggage for Lyft, and opened the doors. Loved that little extra service. Joffreys coffee is in the lobby, and there was also a coffee maker, safe, and surprisingly large mini fridge in the room. We’ll definitely stay again for the cleanliness, location, and price.

The pool was great, and the drinks at the poolside bar were really good. Our room was a little dated but very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We didn’t get to try the dining areas. The location was perfect, within walking distance of Disney Springs. We had a good stay and I’d return.
