Americas Best Value Inn & Suites - Lake Charles / I - 210 Exit 5

We booked for four, but there was only one washcloth, one hand towel, and two bath towels to share. The advertised breakfast wasn’t there, either. Outside, we saw a drug deal and a lot lizard. The pillows were flat, and the bed blankets had cigarette burns. One was badly torn with a big cut in it.

Breakfast was advertised, but there was none. Staff acted unaware that booking sites listed it as included, and said they only had coffee, which was very watered down. The lobby smelled strongly of mildew or mold as soon as we entered. There were holes and stains on the bedding, and the ceiling was stained and sagging, with cracks that seemed like a safety concern. The floor looked like it had a shiny coating, but it was actually wet and seemed like a fall hazard. I couldn’t tell whether it was a leak or condensation.

I could say a lot, but I’ll keep it short: this place is disgusting, and I’ll never stay here or recommend it. My room was horrible. The TV didn’t work, and the bed cover had holes in it. Just nasty.

The staff were nice enough, and at first the room looked good. Then I noticed how dirty it was. The floor felt as if someone had sprayed lubricant over it. After stepping out of the shower onto the towel I’d put down, I wondered whether the shower had even cleaned me. I attached a picture to show what I mean. You might as well choose a $70 motel room instead.
