Hidden Haven Cottages

For the price, this is an excellent place to stay. The cabins have been redone on the outside and look great, and they were very clean inside. Just know they’re not really hidden away, they’re downtown in a little cove behind a big high school.

Traveling with our dogs, we were glad to find a cottage that worked so well for us. There’s a full kitchen and two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and the fresh, tasteful bedding matched the rest of the cottage. They’ve also got firepits, picnic tables, and a large covered area with more tables. They seemed to have thought of everything. Definitely a hidden gem.

The main house was spacious, with three bedrooms, a huge living room, and a cute cabin-up-north feel. The cottages are also in a great spot, within walking distance of the restaurants, shops, and beach, all of which we visited while in town for a family wedding. It was clean, and the new owners were amazing and accommodating. When our TV didn’t work, they jumped in quickly to sort it out. A few things could be better: the sheets felt thin and cheap, there wasn’t much cookware in the kitchen, and the cabin had a bit of a musty smell. Those things wouldn’t stop us from coming back. We’ll stay again and recommend the cottages to others.

These newly renovated cabins are so cute, and the owners are really sweet. They keep making updates, and I’m looking forward to staying here again soon. I’ve got family in Cadillac, and it’s close to downtown, so I can walk to Tasty Treat. My dog Dino loved it there! The place feels homey and relaxing, with extra chairs and Firewood for the Firepits. I recommend it to everyone.
