Travel Inn Motel has felt like a community that took me in, not just somewhere to sleep. When I was dealing with uncertainty and homelessness, Bacs placed me here, and the staff’s kindness and care have been a lifeline. They check on me and go out of their way to look after my safety and well-being, which makes me feel like someone has my back. The daily room cleaning also makes things feel fresher and brighter. To the team at Travel Inn Motel, thank you for giving me comfort, security, and even some joy during this time. Your compassion has meant so much to me and reminded me that kindness is still out there.

I tried calling the front desk to get the 10 digit passcode needed to watch cable on the TV. The phone rang for 10 minutes before an out of service message came on. It was really frustrating.

Oakland, CA is a really difficult place these days, nothing like I remember from 15 years ago. The owners were still helpful and tolerant, and their family and employees bent over backwards for my brother and me on his 77th birthday. I love their family and will keep in touch.

I stayed five nights in May, 2018, and the managers were super nice and friendly. It's a very basic hotel, but the newly upgraded rooms have tile floors, which was a huge plus for me since I hate dirty carpets. It was clean and a good place to stay, with free parking too. The Oakland area isn't great, but I walked to Kaiser, Sprouts, and restaurants and back without problems or feeling in danger. I highly recommend it if you need a clean place near Kaiser.

You can walk to Bart, and Carl's Jr. is right next door. My room had been nicely remodeled, with a clean new tub, and the maids were awesome about bringing fresh towels every morning. There are several HBO channels and basic cable too. This isn't really a nice vacation spot. It allows pets and there's all-night yelling and screaming, along with loud or crazy behavior. If you're looking for a seedy hotel where they don't care how loud things get, this is the place.
