The big open field behind Palms Garden Inn was handy for walking our dog, and with the one-story layout we could park right by the room and skip hauling bags up stairs. We were also surprised by how quiet it was, even with people in the rooms next door. Inside, there was plenty of room and counter space, and the bed setup was so comfortable I didn’t even need my own pillow from home. Everything was clean, with no bugs in sight. We take lots of long drives to see family and only stay one night at a time, so pet fees matter. At $10 per pet, this worked much better for us than places charging $25-35. We’ve often ended up at Motel 6 or Red Roof for lower pet costs and been let down by cleanliness, so we were glad we tried this inn. We’d happily stay here again.

For the price, this was a really nice place. It was one of the four best rooms I had on a two-month trip. The room had recently been redone, everything worked, and the front desk service was great. Michael, the housekeeper, did a terrific job.

The pool was closed for a while and the bathroom sink had low pressure, but those things didn't take away much from a pleasant stay. Our room was roomy and comfortable, a nice place to relax. I'd gladly choose this hotel again, and hope they make the small improvements. It's a quality stay and easy to recommend.

A clean room and a comfortable bed made this a great base for our weekend in town for the Gatornationals. We showed up about an hour earlier than planned, but they already had a room ready and let us check in. It worked out perfectly for our race weekend.

We ended up leaving at midnight because the bedding made us itchy. There were dead beetles scattered on the floor, the tub was gross, and the TV didn't work. My wife and I couldn't even agree whether what we saw on the wall was blood. The place smelled of stale cigarettes and the bedding had burn holes. If we had to choose between this motel and pitching tents at a busy truck stop, we'd take the tents. They shouldn't ask guests for reviews.
