The breakfast had plenty of seating and was nice, and both the small pool and workout area were clean. The halls were quiet and the room itself was clean, but for a Marriott I expected better upkeep. The sink stopper gets pushed down by the water and has to be pried up to drain. The shower’s hot/cold plate was hanging loose, and the AC vibrated loudly the whole time, so I couldn’t use it even after changing the setting by a few degrees. There were other little annoyances too: the microwave only worked with the hall light on, the conditioner bottle was empty, and the TV had no cable box. None of it ruined the stay, but the constant inconveniences were frustrating. I’d think twice about coming back.

The service was awful. Whenever we checked in or asked for anything, staff acted like we were bothering them and huffed at us. The bedding and pillows were poor, and the towels were incredibly thin. The pool was filthy and had no towels; the restrooms were also out of towels, and most of the food in the pantry was expired. A horrible example of the Marriott brand. They need lessons in hospitality. Stay somewhere else.

We had to improvise just to sleep comfortably. The Venetian blackout blinds were stuck, and I couldn’t pull them down, so I used the comforter from the extra queen bed and clip hangers to block the morning light. We’d booked a king. The room smelled so strongly of sweat that we drove to Walmart for Glade air fresheners to get through the night. The TV only showed a black screen because someone had pulled out all the cables, but maintenance came up quickly and fixed it, which is why I gave service four stars. If I worked here, I’d quit in shame. I paid for the room with points and want them back. Marriott should take this place off its brand immediately.

After more than 320 nights in Marriotts, this was easily my worst experience in ten years. The TV was broken the first night, so we had to switch rooms at 10 pm. In the new room the next morning, there was no hand soap or body wash, bugs were coming out of the shower drain, and hair was all over the bathroom. I told the front desk at 7 am, but when we got back at 3, nothing had been handled. Then the fridge froze two four-packs of craft beer that cost $20 each. I was beyond disappointed. Stay away.
