Best Western Plus Lake Elsinore Inn & Suites

The room had plenty of closet and drawer space, which made unpacking easy, and the blackout shades were much appreciated. The air conditioning was quiet enough that it didn’t bother me overnight. I chose to drive farther for a good hotel in a safe neighborhood while taking care of family needs nearby, and that worked out well. It’s also close to the freeway, a Tesla supercharger, a grocery store, and other businesses.

Theresa is threatening to kick me out over a smell on my clothes, even though I don’t smoke inside the hotel. She complains about me smoking outside and says I’m breaking hotel rules, but other guests smoke and smell of cigarettes or vape too. She singles me out and harasses me every day. When I said I wanted to call corporate, she opened the fire exit by my door, making the situation look like more than it was. Housekeeping don’t speak English. There’s another manager with a ponytail who doesn’t say anything and has no problem with the smells, but when Theresa is on shift, she picks on me for nothing. I contacted the BBB and Larry Cuculic, the CEO of Best Western Plus. Theresa is very unprofessional, and I need someone to help with this.

Erica at the front desk was the bright spot of our stay. She kindly helped when the pool lock pad wasn’t working, and I really appreciated it. Theresa, though, made things negative with her rudeness and aggression. On checkout morning my sister forgot her room key when she went to the car for her coat. I opened the front door for her, but Theresa kept insisting she couldn’t come in without her key. I finally said she was a guest who’d forgotten it, and we walked away. Earlier, after we checked in for a wedding, family we hadn’t seen in years came to our room for less than five minutes to say hi and meet our baby before going to their own rooms. When I went to ask for bedding for the sofa couch, Theresa asked if we’d have people in and out all night. I explained what happened, but she said only three people could be in the room and that she’d need to check there weren’t more. I told her that was fine, we only had three, and our relatives were guests staying in different rooms too. Thank you, ERICKA!

The view was the best part of this hotel while I was there for business. What should have been an easy fix turned into a mess. I waited almost three hours before the desk clerk called her boss, only to learn that all she needed to do was change the name on the reservation.
