Holiday Inn Express Portland South - Lake Osw

We were in town for State Championships for Cheer, and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were clean with enough space, and the beds were comfortable. IHG members get VIP amenities. Breakfast was free and delicious, and the lobby has coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available 24 hours.

I stayed here to visit a girlfriend and attend her husband’s memorial service. The location suited me perfectly, 25 minutes from the Portland airport and about the same distance from her home and the service. The room was clean and adequate, with a nice shower and reliably hot water, though the toilet area in the bathroom was cramped. I used the fitness center, which had floor mats, hand weights, a weight bench, a treadmill, and a water dispenser for refills. There’s also a small onsite market selling water and other nonalcoholic drinks. My room was on the third floor behind the elevator. It was fairly quiet, though I could hear guests above me at different times in the evening. We ate at Oswego Grill off Kruse St. It’s very close, with excellent service and entree and dessert choices. I’d consider staying here again when I visit.

My daughter and I came from the coast because I needed surgery. Jackie at the front desk was amazing, five stars! She was funny, helpful, and explained how to get around town when we had no idea. The rest of the staff were very kind and sweet too, but Jackie went above and beyond. We’ll be back. Thank you, Jackie, you’re a very nice young lady. Room 332, lo Lori and Serenity.

The room was recently refurbished and was clean and nice. It sleeps 6, but only had 4 towels. I’d recommend adding more towel hooks in the bathroom.
