The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the beds were clean and comfortable. It worked well for a one-night stop, especially if you’re traveling light. The rooms are small, there’s no cover over the main entrance for loading or unloading in bad weather, and breakfast didn’t suit a diabetic or someone looking for lots of protein. It was otherwise a good value. But several hours after I posted that review on 1/27/26, I went to urgent care about bug bites. They confirmed they were bedbug bites. My husband and I both had them, and mine were worse. The friends traveling with us who stayed there were fine, so be careful. The hotel was contacted, but so far only Wyndham has reached out, not the hotel itself. I’m still waiting for a room refund.

I spent a week at the Lake Park Baymont by Windham while taking classes, and the weekly rate was great. My room was spotless and comfortable, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The workout room had just the right amount of equipment. I brought my own food, so I didn’t use the breakfast bar, though it looked like the usual small breakfast. I’d gladly stay again and recommend it to others.

I’ve stayed at just about every highway hotel in the country, and I’ve never gotten to bed as quickly as I did here. The young man on the night shift on Friday, February 13, was extremely capable and courteous. With that much hustle and common sense, he ought to be running things. He should get promoted.

The TV took a little figuring out, which seems to be common at hotels now. Our room was on the small side, but clean, and the young man who checked us in was pleasant and easy to talk to. We’d stay here again.

The desk clerk was nice, but the hotel badly needs repairs. It felt like a typical bargain basement place, and honestly we came away feeling icky about staying there. Even if they renovate, I probably wouldn’t return. It just felt icky.
