Lake Placid Inn Main Street

For a family, the rooms are just the right size, and the pull out sofa had a high quality mattress. We especially liked the view of the Olympic Center, the bathtub in the 2-bedroom suite, and the fully stocked kitchen. The location can't be beat. We'll definitely book here again on our next visit to Lake Placid.

The beds were comfortable, and I liked the spacious room, modern clean bathroom, and functional kitchen. Getting around from this convenient location was easy. The big downside was how much noise got in at night. We could hear people talking, chairs moving, footsteps, and doors opening and closing from upstairs, neighboring units, and the street. Some extra insulation in the walls would make a big difference. Aside from the noise, everything else was great.

The noise on the roof went on until 2:30 am, leaving us with a very bad night's sleep that carried into the next day. We called the hotel staff multiple times. They said they didn't know why anyone would be up there at 1 am and that guests in different rooms had complained about it before. The hotel never followed up to find out who it was, apologized, or tried to make it right. We wouldn't stay there again. There are nicer places in and around town. The room and location were good, but there were people on the roof from midnight to 2:30 am making noise. From our room we could see generators and a ladder on the roof, and footprints in the snow leading across the lower roof to the ladder. There is no public access to the roof.

We were across from the Olympic Center for an ice hockey tournament, with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Check-in and check-out were super easy, and the staff were friendly and kind. The town is so cute, like something from a Hallmark movie, and Lake Placid is actually where a Hallmark movie was filmed 🥰. There's lots for the whole family to see and do around here. We stayed at the Main Street location and had a wonderful time. My husband and I will definitely return, hopefully with our kids and grandkids 🥰!
