Great Western Inn

Checkout was 11 a.m. We were packing and loading at 10 when some guy came over demanding the keys. We said we’d check out at the front desk and hand them in there, but he forced his way into our room anyway. Turned out he was a family member of the owners. Absolutely awful attitudes. The service and owners here are horrible. I don’t recommend this place at all.

The one good thing was the housekeeper. She was very sweet, cleaned the room well, and tried her best to get whatever we needed. Her English was pretty good. Everyone else was rude and inconsiderate, acted like they were better than us, and seemed to care only about themselves. The price I was quoted was $50 less than what I actually paid for the week, which came to $400. They gave me one key. When the week was up, they started banging on my door at 10 a.m., even though checkout wasn’t until 11. I yelled that I would check out and asked if they wanted me to pay again. Before we could even get dressed, they opened the door. The girl wouldn’t shut it, even though I was wearing only a T-shirt and my husband was completely naked. They left it open until I got dressed in front of her and went to the office to pay. It was still only 10 a.m., but they charged me another $95 for one night. Nothing in the room worked properly. The dresser was broken, the TV only got one channel, the Wi-Fi never worked for me, and the Coke machine wouldn’t take change. The refrigerator was broken too. I didn’t see any bugs, but there was just one tiny trash can, one towel and one washcloth, and no lamps, only one bright overhead light. They don’t allow pets or any guests at all. If someone other than the car you arrive in picks you up or drops you off, they call the police. A friend dropped me off one night and was pulled over after leaving. I wasn’t having guests. There’s a cheap little motel beside the place. I’ve never stayed there, but after this week, I can imagine anything would be better. Don’t waste your money. I’ll never stay here again.

The room smelled unpleasant when I walked in, and there wasn’t an outlet by the bed to charge my phone.

The room I had was huge, and the shower was great. They also have cable TV.
