Lake Wire Inn

People are coming and going all night, slamming doors and talking loudly. Police are in and out of the parking lot through the night, and there always seem to be issues. People walk around drunk or high during the day and night, and the place feels unsafe with so much activity. Management doesn’t allow any visitors or company to stop by at all. They’ve freshened up the rooms with paint and updated the old toilet and sink, but the AC units haven’t been cleaned and blow mildew-smelling air. Units drain onto the walkway, and the blankets are old with cigarette burns. All you smell is weed. For what the rooms are, it’s overpriced. I don’t recommend it. Even with no other options, I’d be more comfortable in my vehicle.

I loved the shower and how the room was laid out. The two mattresses were so soft and comfortable that I woke up refreshed, and I’d love one of those beds at home. It was the coziest, most private, peaceful and relaxing room I’ve ever stayed in. The owners and service were spectacular, too. They were some of the nicest, most polite, caring and compassionate people I’ve ever met.

We got a balcony room facing the lake, right beside the pool this time. I’ve stayed here a few times before, and it’s always been very nice, friendly, and good value.

It’s right next to downtown, so it’s a great spot for exploring Lakeland. The bright lights that switch on outside every door after dark make me feel very safe, and the whole motel lights up. The rooms are clean and updated, and I haven’t seen a single bug anywhere on the property, dead or alive. At this price in Lakeland, that’s rare. I’m impressed and would recommend staying here for a family trip or business visit.
