Extended Stay America Select Suites Denver Lakewood South

Anna called me an hour after check-in to see if I had everything I needed. She was just as pleasant and professional on the phone as she was in person. I hope she made it home safely in that quick winter drop. She was lovely. Usually it feels like staff are rushing to get you through with a quick “Thank you, next,” but Anna reminded me of Mrs. Potts in her manner, even though she's much younger. Everyone waited comfortably and patiently, including two couples, a delivery man, and one other person.

The lobby encounter was enough to put Extended Stay off our list for long distance stays. Anna was miserable to deal with, and I found her disrespectful and dishonest, with an incredibly unprofessional appearance. It left me with a bad impression of Colorado and the Denver area as a whole. I won't recommend this hotel chain because I worry someone else might run into another “Anna.” The hiring process clearly didn't seem to meet any logical standard.

We had no trouble finding somewhere to eat. There's a Denny's across the street, plus lots of other kinds of restaurants within about half a mile to a mile. The hotel was quiet and clean, and the front desk was pleasant and accommodating. They took care of any needs right away.

I've been here around two months, and the staff have been super friendly, probably among the friendliest at any hotel I've stayed in. Great service, and the rooms are nice and clean. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
