Luxury Stays - Hostel

I felt violated after being told I was watched on a security camera in my pod. I hadn’t known I was being recorded and expected privacy. Staff were rude when they interrupted me for taking my shoes off instead of putting plastic bags over them, then reprimanded me, talked down to me, and threatened to kick me out. The rules were unreasonably strict: nothing could be left on the floor outside the bed, not even a charger, shoes, or backpack, and those had to go in the closet. I’d called ahead to ask if I’d have a bunk to myself and they couldn’t promise it, though the place was empty when I arrived. I booked one night and was told to reread the long rules list. I want my money back.

The hosts were really nice, and the place was very clean. There are lots of rules, but I can see how they help keep it that way. Best hostel I’ve stayed at, and I’d definitely come back. Keep up the good work.

It was quiet, comfortable, very clean, and the host was welcoming. The price matched what the websites showed. There are a few easy rules to follow, which help keep the place looking new. Having Netflix and WiFi on a TV mount by the bed made it cozy. Highly recommend.

I never got to stay because they canceled my booking the day I landed in LA. They said the refund would come after 15 days, but it’s been a month and a half and I still haven’t received it. At this point I doubt I’ll get my money back.
