Western Inn Lakewood Tacoma

I saw bed bugs and roaches during my stay at The Western Inn about a week ago. I told the owner, but she wouldn’t acknowledge it or take steps to address it. Seeing the infestation was very distressing, and it left me worried about the property’s sanitation and safety. Other public reviews describe the same problem, so it seems this may be ongoing.

The staff were really nice, and the other guests were friendly too. Dog owners did leave messes behind, though. We stayed for three weeks, and the spacious, clean rooms, which were mostly modern, met our needs well. The place felt somewhere between rough and upscale, and it worked out perfectly for us.

The rooms were surprisingly clean and cozy. Still, you’re almost guaranteed to see or at least hear a shootout while you’re staying here. Call it live entertainment, I guess.

The friendly, accommodating staff made my quick stop at Western Inn much more pleasant. I booked a short stay to nap after a tiring day sightseeing around the Lakewood/Tacoma area, and the room was clean, spacious, and cool. It was noisy in the afternoon, but I still got some rest. The place feels older, though not too old. My bed was worn, and the headboard fell over once, but staff fixed it promptly. For the price, it’s a decent budget option for a quick stay.
