We stayed three nights and were shown three rooms. The first was generally dirty, with stained sheets, broken curtains, and a shower light that didn’t work. The kitchen sink drain wasn’t connected, so water went straight onto the floor. The door had no working safety lock: the deadbolt was broken, and the swing lock pulled out of the wall by hand, held in place with putty. I don’t know what they cleaned in that room, but it was pretty icky. We were given keys to another room, carried all our things over, and found it hadn’t been cleaned. With only one person at the desk, it took about half an hour to get keys to a third room, since it was morning and people kept coming in. That room had no lampshades, grime on the bathroom mirror, what looked like coffee splashed across the ceiling, and stains of different colors all over the walls. The TV had lost its signal, though turning it off and on fixed it. The sink wouldn’t drain unless we wedged a plastic fork in it to keep it open. None of the rooms had alarm clocks. The upstairs railing is another serious concern. In some spots the brackets flex away from the wall, and the railing feels unstable enough to collapse if you put your weight on it. Maybe the fire department should inspect it. The concrete around the property is filthy, including trash-juice trails on the steps, and the whole place needs power washing. I asked for a late checkout and the desk manager said they don’t offer one because they’re always busy. Looking at the condition of the hotel, I can’t see where the money is going. They seem to do the bare minimum to keep it rentable, if that. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever booked, and I usually choose the cheapest places. It felt unsafe and disgusting. Next time, I’d strongly recommend booking the second-cheapest hotel in the area. At least I didn’t see bedbugs, I hope.

Getting on and off the expressway is easy, and the price was low. That’s about all I’d recommend it for beyond a quick night’s sleep. The rooms are plain and poorly maintained, the mattresses aren’t very comfortable, and noise carries from outside and the rooms above and beside you. The bathroom supplies were lacking, and the sink and shower faucets barely worked. Not a place I’d suggest for anything more than stopping to sleep and check out.

Shopping, food, and parks are all within walking distance, and the rooms are clean. I’ve stayed here many times, including at Crowne plaza and American inn, and I’d rather come back here than stay anywhere else I’ve tried. The way people are treated is why. The employees are amazing, don’t judge, and treat everyone like a human being, which feels rare these days, especially in Denver. There’s homelessness, crime, and riff raff throughout Denver and the surrounding areas, wherever you go. It’s a hard fact of life. This motel feels safe to sleep in and has improved 150% since the new ownership. Corri, the general manager, is phenomenal and deserves a raise. Corri, Norma, Robert, Crystal, Shawn, and housekeeping, thanks for your great attitudes and personalities. Keep doing what you’re doing!

The room smelled strongly of cigarettes, the floor was unswept and covered in dead bugs, and there were blood stains on the towels and bedding. The front door was damaged, as if it had been kicked in. I couldn’t stay and asked for a refund, but they told me to speak with the manager. I called every day for a week and couldn’t reach them, so I had to get the refund through my credit card. You’d be better off sleeping in your car.

I was alone and didn’t even feel safe getting out of my car. There were people who appeared to be drug users passed out on the steps and sidewalk, and others hanging around drinking in the parking lot. I asked for a refund and was denied. I don’t understand the five-star reviews, and this place shouldn’t be listed on hotel booking sites.
