Candlewood Suites Lakewood

I had a good stay and would recommend the place. Staff were helpful and friendly the whole time. The small fitness room and business center were decent, and the kitchen rooms had nice cooktops and cookware. They don’t clean rooms every day. From what I understood, they do it between guests or if you ask. I didn’t request a cleaning during my stay, and didn’t really need one.

The gym was really nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room’s cleanliness could’ve been better, and part of the bedding was torn. There’s no breakfast at all, not even continental. The snack area just sells small bites. I appreciate their green initiative, but they won’t even tidy the room unless you request it, except for stays of seven days or more.

We spent three weeks here while house hunting, and the staff helped make a stressful stretch feel like home. We celebrated a birthday, cared for a sick dog, met with realtors, and dealt with plenty of other things. When there was a break-in nearby, the staff helped keep us safe, even putting a family member in the parking lot to watch out for us. The rooms were spacious and very clean when we arrived, and the whole hotel was clean. I also loved the snack room and gym. I can’t say enough about how good our stay was, and I look forward to coming back.

You can borrow things from the front desk, which came in handy when I needed a blender. I just asked the woman there, and she unlocked a cupboard and got one for me. They also have free coffee all day, movies to borrow, and the option to charge items to your room, like at an expensive hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. Cameras cover the parking lot at the front and back, as well as the halls, so it feels very secure. Staff are always friendly, stopping to say hello and ask how your day is or wish you a good night. In two words: THEY’RE AWESOME!
