Cork Factory Hotel Lancaster

The snow and ice storm predicted for the East Coast just hours after our January 24, 2026 wedding could have made the weekend really stressful. Cork Factory responded with a lot of flexibility: they refunded the morning-after breakfast and the last hour of our open bar, and helped traveling guests cancel rooms they no longer needed or adjust their plans. That care meant our guests could still enjoy the weekend. A last-minute change to our wedding coordinator came just days before the event, when ours suddenly couldn’t work. Jennifer took over and was calm, decisive, organized, and reassuring. She made us feel as secure as if we’d been working with her for over a year. Cork Factory had also been in touch early and often throughout planning. They coordinated our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, welcome reception, and wedding day, and made it easy for our guests to book rooms and feel comfortable. We’d recommend the hotel for a wedding or special event. The team’s warmth and professionalism made the whole process feel seamless.

The bed was very comfortable, the shower was excellent, and the room looked clean apart from the jacuzzi. The hotel also has on-site parking, which is a real plus, and it’s about a five-minute drive or a 15-20 minute walk from central Lancaster. Prices seemed similar to downtown hotels. We came to Lancaster for a short romantic weekend and chose Cork Factory Hotel after researching relaxing places. Its historic industrial look is appealing, and it had come highly recommended. A few days before we arrived, I called to confirm and learned our king room with jacuzzi had been changed to a queen double. After some emails back and forth, I showed them my original confirmation and they fixed the booking. The jacuzzi was much smaller than it looked in the website photos, really only big enough for one, and we rinsed it twice before using it because it wasn’t clean. The electricity also went out in the living room area where we were charging our phones. Since we were staying just one night, we mentioned that at checkout instead of asking for maintenance. There was a large wedding party there when we arrived Saturday afternoon, so events may be a big focus. Our stay was okay, but more care with room details, bookings, and listing accuracy would make it feel closer to the romantic experience advertised.

At checkout, the front desk clerk asked how the stay had been. When I mentioned the partying next door, he admitted he’d been the one celebrating his birthday in that room. He apologized, but I found that inconsiderate and unprofessional. It also explained why nothing happened after we called the desk to complain. We stayed two nights, and noise carries easily from rooms next door, above, and below. The party went on all night on our second night. We overslept and were late for my daughter’s volleyball tournament. In my opinion, this should never have happened. I doubt I’ll stay here again.

They offered 20% off at checkout for all the problems, but when the bill was processed the discount was only 10%. Housekeeping also never cleaned our room, and the toilet seat was broken. The hotel looks beautiful, but the noise was maddening. I could hear everything from the rooms beside us and above us, even another room’s toilet flushing. It felt like an echo chamber, and someone talking next door woke me in the night. The hot tub was wonderful, but not enough to make up for that. The TV was also super cheap and only had basic cable. What year are they living in? 🤣
