Holiday Inn Lancaster by IHG

The Imperial restaurant and Bar was the highlight for me. The food was great, the servers were friendly and attentive, and bartenders Michael and Caiden were fantastic even when it was busy. Michael made me the best Old Fashioned I’ve had, and Caiden mixed a killer Mojito. They stayed cheerful, and the appreciative handshake and goodbye on our last night meant a lot. My buddy and I were in town for the Fly Fishing Show, and the hotel itself was great too. The staff were outgoing, our clean room had everything we needed, and the heater/AC got it comfortable fast. The beds gave me some of the best sleep I’ve had in a while. Breakfast was worth the $14 to me, with eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, waffles, French Toast, cereal, oatmeal, breads, and pastries. It was my first time at a Holiday Inn, and after this stay I can’t recommend it enough.

Kate, the concierge, really knew the area and pointed out things to see. She also gave us excellent directions for getting where we needed to go. The front desk was helpful and explained how to park in the garage. Our room was comfortable and nice. THANK YOU Kate!!!

The room’s heat didn’t work at all, and the place smelled like vomit for the last two days of our trip. We were here for three nights over a holiday weekend to visit friends. Someone in our group got sick and vomited late at night. We asked the front desk for cleaning supplies because we didn’t want to leave that for the staff, but they wouldn’t or couldn’t give us spray, gloves, or anything to clean it safely. We did most of the cleanup ourselves and asked for housekeeping to sanitize the room in the morning. They said there was no housekeeping staff that day, and that even rooms people were checking out of wouldn’t be cleaned. Another couple traveling with us had paid ahead for the overpriced breakfast, but the hotel simply didn’t serve it one day, with no warning or discussion of a refund. I can’t recommend this hotel.

On December 20, 2025, my husband, son, and I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Lancaster, PA. It looked nice at first, but our night turned into a stressful and unsafe experience. We reached room 507 around 10:00 p.m. While settling in, my son spotted what he thought was an ant. My husband lifted the mattress and found live bed bugs near the pillows and top of the bed. I’d already been lying there, and my son and I are allergic to bug bites, so this could have been serious. We showed photos and videos at the desk and asked to move rooms. They sent us to 609, where we found long blond hair on one bed and black hair on the other. Worse, lifting a mattress there revealed live bed bugs too. We told the desk we were leaving. Around 12:00 a.m., we found another hotel, which cost $208. They said to contact management Monday about covering it because nobody there could approve that. On the drive, we read a review from two months earlier about bed bugs in room 507. It’s unacceptable that we were put in that same room. I’ve called the hotel and management many times without getting a call back, and the automated phone system makes it hard to reach a person. They charged us for the room and only reversed it after a week of repeated calls. Nearly three weeks later, management still hadn’t contacted me. I reached them by online chat and have a case number, but nobody has followed up.
