Pine Grove Motel

That weekend rate was amazing. The room looked modern and was very clean, and check-in took hardly any time. Even paying cash, I didn’t need to leave a debit or credit card for the deposit. I’ll come back.

I’ve stayed here six times, and this was my first bad visit. I agreed to switch rooms so someone attending a funeral could have mine, and that part was no problem. But the neighbor kept me awake all night, banging on the walls and yelling obscenities. I had my eight-year-old son with me, and ended up taking him back to his mother’s for the last two days. The fridge barely worked and the microwave didn’t work at all. After nearly a week of this, I saw that the room I’d given up was still empty.

We were in town to see family at Atrium next door and stayed Thursday night. There’s a gas station with a convenience store and two fast-food places across the street, which was handy. The motel has one floor of rooms facing the front, with outside doors and parking right in front of them. Our room was clean and comfortable, with an updated larger TV, a combined mini-fridge and microwave, and mattress covers meant to help prevent bedbugs. I’d suggest replacing the doorknob and deadbolt setup for better security. It’s an economical, pleasant and convenient place. I’d stay again, even though it isn’t the Hilton.

The owners were really friendly and helpful, and the price was great. My room was big and super clean, with cable, Wi-Fi, a fridge and a microwave. If you’re in or near Lancaster, this is a must-stay for me. I’ll definitely return.
