Studio 6 – Las Cruces, NM - Telshor

I’m writing for my two older aunts, who stayed at this Motel 6 about two weeks ago while visiting someone in the hospital. They booked a couple of nights and found the room very dirty right away. Overnight, both woke up feeling disoriented and “high,” which they’d never experienced before. They worried there may have been drug use, possibly meth, in the room before they arrived. Whatever the cause, they felt unsafe and unwell. They went to the front desk, explained their concerns, and asked for a refund so they could leave for another place. The employee refused and offered no solution, making them even more uncomfortable. They left disturbed and disappointed. What should have been a simple, affordable stay during an already stressful time turned into an experience they won’t forget for the wrong reasons. They won’t return or recommend this location, especially to older guests or anyone concerned about cleanliness and safety.

I’ve had quality service at the Motel 6 Las Cruces on Telshor, and the accommodations have exceeded my expectations despite the reviews. The staff are very nice and helpful, and the rooms and service have been great. It’s a quiet, safe area, with restaurants and other conveniences within 1 mi. I haven’t had any problems. If you’re passing through Las Cruces and need somewhere comfortable and quiet for a night, a few days, a week, or even a month, I highly recommend it. They’ll take care of your motel needs and leave the light on for you.

There’s potential here, and with proper upkeep it could be a good value. At the moment, though, it feels dirty rather than budget-friendly, so we won’t be back or recommend it. The toilet had visible hair and urine stains, hair lined the shower walls, and old food residue covered the floors, microwave, and refrigerator. We were uncomfortable using anything in the room. The whole third floor smelled very unpleasant during our stay. The hot tub was freezing cold too, which was a bummer.

We booked suite 222 and had no trouble with bugs, despite the harsh reviews. The beds were very comfortable, while the couch wasn’t, though we didn’t use it. The AC and heater worked well, and the pool and hot tub were working great. Front desk staff were very kind.
