I chose this motel because it was near the tournament venue, and after a three-hour drive plus a 12-hour tournament, I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep. The room’s poor lighting made it hard to notice problems, and I didn’t want to walk barefoot on the carpet, so I was glad I’d brought slippers. I only stayed in the room roughly from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. over two nights, and I was too tired to complain at first. By the night before checkout or that morning, I saw how bad things were: the supposedly white towels were yellow, the couch cushions were stained, there was a black substance on the tub floor, a red smear on the wall by my daughter’s side of the bed, and lots of black marks on the bed blanket, possibly ash, hidden under the sheets. At least the fridge, vanity, end table, and dressers were clean. I’m worried they’ll keep my deposit and blame me for the mess. I’m a single mom and money’s tight, so I picked this place to save money. If they charge me another $100, I should have stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites like I usually do. I wish I’d had more time in the room to spot the mess and ask to move. Please check your room first.

The staff handled three problems quickly and gracefully, including two that were mine and one on the motel’s end. Their service was above five stars. The motel itself was clean, comfortable, easy to reach, and perfectly decent for the price. I picked it almost at random from the cheaper, reasonably rated places nearby, but now I’ll stay here whenever we pass through town.

The whirlpool was nice, though it could use a mat, and I enjoyed the free breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room felt cozy. The carpet needs a proper cleaning, since it left my feet black. Also, please update the TVs. I didn’t recognize the brand, and it looked like something from the mid-2000s. A few improvements would really help this hotel.

I left too early to try the breakfast, but everything else was a good experience. The bathroom was clean and a decent size, and my double room had plenty of space. The bed was really comfortable, and the TV was big. Outside was tidy and well cared for, with lots of lighting in the parking area. The young woman who checked me in was so sweet, and the customer service was excellent.

Kelly at the front desk is a real gem. She was professional and polite, but also funny and kind, and her customer service was fantastic. Treat her well, people like that are hard to find. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. I’ll definitely stay here next time I’m in Las Cruces.
