Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites West I 10 by IHG

The desk staff were the best part, very helpful at both check-in and checkout. I’d rate their service above 5, while the hotel itself gets a 3. Our room stayed hot and humid even after we turned on the air, and it still felt damp when we checked out the next morning. The indoor pool was nice, though too cold, and the shower pressure was fairly weak. I was also disappointed to hear that someone who walked in without a reservation got a room for $30 less than we paid through IHG after booking ahead. Breakfast was okay, but not as good as at other places.

Lexi checked us in last night and was incredibly kind and helpful. This morning, Katie was just as friendly and attentive at the breakfast buffet. She paused what she was doing several times to chat with our family, and was so sweet with my kids. I can’t remember better customer service at a hotel. If hospitality matters to you, stay here when you’re in Pensacola!

The rooms were clean, and the pet fee is a flat charge rather than a daily one. The front desk staff were all loving toward my fur family. Elisa, who ran breakfast, was amazing: delicious food and such friendly service. It felt like having breakfast with my favorite aunty every morning. Marvin from maintenance was kind and helpful, and offered suggestions for local resources I was looking for. A clean, safe, reasonably priced place to stay on a budget. I absolutely recommend it.

The location was good, and the service was the part I liked most. The hotel itself felt old and ordinary. The bed was good, the smell was okay, and there was good lighting, but the pool and floor were very dirty, and paint was coming off the bottom of the windows. The breakfast, though, was delicious, the best I’ve had at a hotel.
