This little place was much cleaner and better kept than I expected, and the AC gets ice cold. It felt safe, not sketchy, and it was quiet all night since there weren't many occupied rooms around me. The glass partition between guests and the front desk in the lobby might put you off, but it didn't bother me. It's an outstanding value compared with pricey Vegas Strip hotels, and still close enough to walk to a lot. I can't recommend it enough.

They require a $100 cash deposit and inspect the room before checkout. We saw a big argument with the party ahead of us because she had gotten period blood on a sheet, and they refused to return her deposit. That seems steep for a stain that washes out, or even for replacing the sheet, which wouldn't cost $100. Maybe staff get to keep the money and look for a reason to make guests forfeit it?

Beware. I showed up to check in with a valid California digital ID, which is legal in California and one other state, but they refused to accept it. Most other hotels do, and the staff were extremely rude about it. Expedia is working on getting me at least a 70% refund, but I haven't heard back yet. I tried to cancel promptly after they refused check-in, so they shouldn't keep the money. Update: the refund looks like it's processing. I'll update when it's complete.

The peaceful atmosphere and thoughtful touches made the stay feel like a real escape. The decor was serene, the service was excellent, and the location was unbeatable while still making it easy to explore. A comfortable, harmonious mix of convenience and calm. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch hotel experience.

If you're going to an event, be aware: they charge $50 for event parking. The police say they know the road gets closed after the event, but people still get charged to park and then trapped in the lot. It feels like a way to collect the $50. Don't use them for event parking.
