Dee Jay Beach Resort

We could cook breakfast and keep snacks and drinks for the beach thanks to the full kitchen, which made a real difference. Dee Jay Resort is right across from the beach, where we snorkeled by the pier. It's peaceful there, but a few blocks' walk gets you to the town square for live music and good restaurants. Communication was excellent too. Whenever we had a question, we got an answer right away. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely return. Highly recommend Dee Jay Resort for a comfortable, convenient, relaxing beach getaway.

My room at the Dee jay hotel was clean, with a kitchen and a separate bedroom. It was handy to have plates, cups, utensils, and cookware for making meals. The beach, restaurants, and grocery stores are all within walking distance. I'd recommend staying at this resort when visiting Lauderdale by the sea.

This place felt unhealthy, and on a scale of 1-5 I'd give it a 0. The bathroom had black mold and roaches. The sheets were stained when I looked closely and didn't fit the bed. There was sticky stuff on the nightstand, no blackout blinds, and lights shining in the window. The floor-unit air conditioner was so noisy I couldn't sleep. I tried to get a refund through booking, but was told the owner wouldn't give one. She seemed sweet when I first spoke with her, but I guess I was wrong.

DeeJay is an affordable, comfortable place to vacation while still feeling at home, and I can't wait to return. The rooms have kitchens with a fridge and essentials like plates, cups, and cutlery, as well as dining areas, separate bedrooms, full-size showers and tubs, and outdoor seating. The lower rooms are accessible for people with mobility issues. There's plenty of parking, and you can walk to the beach, grocery store, restaurants, and entertainment. Rooms facing El Mar are quieter than those near A1A. The newer updated building is gorgeous. The older building isn't as luxurious, but it's still great and comfortable. Management is very responsive.
