The problems started when we arrived: the door code worked but the lock still wouldn’t open, and the staff wouldn’t answer the phone. We waited outside until neighbors came to help, and they were having the same trouble. During our stay of about a week, cockroaches kept turning up in the room, bathroom, kitchen, outside, and even by the pool. After we emailed, a staff member sprayed for them, laughed in our face, and left without saying anything. We found more roaches later, including a dead one the next morning, and pest control didn’t solve it. The manager hung up while we were talking; when we asked to move, she was rude and suggested a Lowkl near pompano beach. Its reviews mentioned cockroaches too. She hung up again and never answered for the rest of the trip. Other guests told us they had different problems, including ceiling leaks, faulty door locks, and staff ignoring calls or emails. The whole stay was horrible. I wouldn’t recommend it and will never return.

The condition of the place and the lack of help made this one of our worst stays, especially for what we paid. We found cockroaches in the room, bathroom, and pool area, and felt so uncomfortable that we kept the lights on and put our luggage on the beds at night. We reported it more than once. Two men came to spray while we were still in the room, said the product wasn’t toxic and that we could stay, but roaches were still around that day and on later days. We spent a whole day washing our clothes and belongings because we were afraid of taking insects home. Getting into the property was a problem from the start. We arrived around 10 pm on the first day and couldn’t get the faulty door lock to open. The host couldn’t help by phone, and neighbors got us inside. Other guests mentioned similar lock trouble and water leaks in their units. When we asked for a solution, we were offered another property in Pompano. Reviews and photos there showed cockroaches, including a photo we later couldn’t find. We felt laughed at, then the call was ended. We didn’t feel safe moving there. Messages were often ignored or answered late, and the overall response was poor. This was a stressful, disappointing vacation, with cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service all below basic standards.

The location is the one good thing, but there are better places nearby, and I can’t recommend this one. We stayed 11 nights. The room was just okay and not very clean, and we had to buy our own toilet paper. The sheets weren’t changed during our 11 days there. I’d asked four weeks ahead for a first-floor room, then followed up three days before we arrived because I’m severely handicapped. They put us on the second floor anyway, so I had to climb stairs. At the pool there were only three lounge chairs, and someone else always had them. There was no customer service around. In the afternoon, when the sun hit the door, the lock wouldn’t work; we waited 25 minutes in the heat to get in, and customer service didn’t even reply to my email. The shower had almost no pressure, so washing took a long time, especially with long hair. They changed the shower head, but it made no difference.

I spent 32 days here and was really happy with the stay. It’s a safe, clean place, and booking early through their website got me a very good deal. There’s laundry on site, and the beach is a two minute walk away. They also have beach chairs and towels for guests. Publix, bars, and restaurants are all within walking distance. They don’t make the bed or swap towels every day, though there were enough towels and extra sheets for me, and I’m sure you could ask for more. I’d stay here again if I’m back around Pompano or Fort Lauderdale.
