Our yearly trip together is a tradition for my mom and me, and this year The Sea Lord Hotel has set a new standard for future getaways. We’ve stayed in plenty of places around Lauderdale-by-the-Sea over the years, but this one felt especially special. It’s spotless, beautifully looked after, and right on the water, with several good restaurants and shops within walking distance. Richard, the owner and chef, welcomed us warmly and made some of the best meals we’ve had on vacation. He brings a rare kind of genuine hospitality. The whole team took wonderful care of us, especially Marko, who checked in regularly to make sure everything was going well. Comfort, convenience, and service all stood out, so we won’t have to look far for future trips.

We had a lovely 4 night getaway at the Sea Lord Hotel and will definitely return when we can. We stayed in a spacious junior sweets with a beautiful ocean view, a super comfortable king-sized bed, and a dining and kitchen area. The hotel is within walking distance of everything Lauderdale by The Sea’s quaint area has to offer, from shops and food to music and nightlife. Shore diving and snorkeling are very convenient too. Richard, the owner, is a fantastic chef and a great host, and his exceptional staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I highly recommend the hotel, and suggest making reservations for breakfast, lunch, or dinner with Richard. On our final day, we also booked a massage with their amazing masseuse, conveniently done right in our room. We feel lucky to have found this special place.

The staff made the whole visit feel easy and relaxing, and Marco was especially helpful getting us set up with chairs and umbrellas for the beach. Our room faced the ocean and had two balconies, perfect for catching the sunrise. The pool was spotless, and the beach is right there. We ate at Domus on our first night. Richard, the chef and owner, made us a delicious salad, bruschetta, and grouper with pasta. They offer massages too. I skipped one and regret it after hearing my friend, who visited us and said hers was the best massage she'd ever had. The friendly, helpful service made this a really enjoyable vacation. Even if you don't stay here, dinner at the restaurant or a massage is worth considering.

Richard, the owner and master chef, is a real gem. We love every part of this boutique resort and plan to keep coming back. The staff feels like family, from Oldane and Andrea at the front desk to Marco, Sarah, and Magnolia, the masseuse. Magnolia gave me the best massage I've ever had. Thanks, Sea Lord people. We love you and think everyone should experience it for themselves.

The owner and staff were warm and helpful, and I came away feeling that it was a good stay. The pool and beach area looked beautiful, though the water nearby was covered with plastic bags and microplastics. It seemed like a barge or garbage boat may have dumped there. There's also a nice choice of restaurants within walking distance. The hotel itself felt upscale and well done, but our room wasn't ocean-facing and was nothing special. The price reflects the location, so keep that in mind. I've paid half as much at name-brand hotels for similar rooms, though I imagine the Sea View rooms are more upscale. Would I recommend it? Yes.
