Tides Inn Hotel

If you want a quiet, simple place with beach access, this little inn could be a good fit. It's cost-effective and meant for a relaxing stay, with a basic pool and a few tables for eating. Don't expect bars, restaurants, or an all-inclusive luxury resort, and the rooms aren't large or modern. It's only two stories and seems to date back to the 1950s, though there have been updates. Some things feel old, but everything worked during my stay. I'm used to big hotel chains, so this was a different kind of accommodation for me.

The room needs more attention for what they charge. The fridge still had someone else's leftovers, and the floor was dirty and sandy even though we hadn't been to the beach. Shortly after we checked in, a stranger opened our door without warning. I was in the bathroom, and had to go outside to find out who it was. The front desk clerk had opened the wrong room by accident and eventually apologized, but the incident really scared my daughter. The shower looked nice and had a great showerhead, with nice soaps and gels, but the curtain sits about two inches above the floor and the bathroom floods when you shower. On the plus side, check-in was friendly, the place looked nice and fairly well maintained, and it's right on the beach. The grounds looked good too. We would stay again, but they need to tighten up the experience. I paid for four stars and barely got two for the room. At that price, I shouldn't have to put up with other people's dirt and leftovers.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and getting to the beach was so easy. They provide chairs, towels, and an umbrella at no extra charge, which made our stay simple. We loved it at the Tides Inn and will be back. The location is hard to beat, and I'd definitely recommend it.

I loved staying here so much that after booking two days to see if I liked it, I added four more. The beach is right nearby, with chairs and an umbrella set out for you, and the pool is crystal clean. Our room was clean too. When I had trouble with the keyless entry, the staff fixed it right away. They were friendly and accommodating, and the spot is close to everything. I'd happily return and highly recommend it.
