Comfort Inn & Suites LaVale - Cumberland

The bed was comfortable, the shower had good pressure, and the room was a nice size. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. At check-in they even quoted a slightly lower rate with the AAA Fall special, but I was still charged the higher one. The suite's furniture was some of the most uncomfortable seating I've tried. Breakfast was pretty good on day one, with hot food right after opening, but not so much on the second day. It came close to five stars for me.

We had six people and stayed overnight for the Murder Mystery train ride. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the staff gave us the best customer service. Everyone from the front desk to breakfast was friendly, professional, and helpful. We'll definitely come back.

The room was spacious and very clean, and the staff were friendly. It's an easy hotel to get to, and most of the room was well equipped. My four-star rating comes down to a few things: the pullout mattress was thin enough that I felt the frame rods, and there were only sheets for it, with no pillows or quilt blanket. There were no luggage carts, and the third-floor ice machine wasn't working. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay.

The room was clean and service was great. Both mornings, the breakfast staff were especially kind. Two different women introduced themselves and invited everyone to ask for anything they needed. They paid attention, kept the area clean, and one morning even cleared our plates. As soon as guests left, they were wiping down the tables and getting the space ready for the next people. I've never had such kind breakfast staff at a hotel. I'd stay here again for sure.
