I needed somewhere to stay right away and added another day, and the manager was receptive and helped me out. He was kind, respectful, considerate, and didn’t judge me. The room could use a little work, but things cost money these days. It was clean, quiet, restful, and bug-free.

They took my belongings from the room. When I called to get them back, they told me they didn’t have them and kept insisting I must have taken them myself. I believe they stole my things.

I’m picky about motels, but this one was clean and had no bugs. The manager and his family are really nice and polite to guests. It’s rare to find a motel this good in California. My one complaint is the low water pressure, though that may just be California guidelines.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I paid through a third-party site, then the man at the desk demanded a $50 cash deposit before he’d let me into the room. I travel a lot and that didn’t seem legitimate, though he eventually dropped it. The bedding had lots of other people’s hair on it. When I asked for clean bedding, they didn’t seem to care how gross it was. Someone came into the room while I was out, but it wasn’t cleaned. The floor was dirty enough that I didn’t want to take off my shoes. The room was extremely bare bones: a mini fridge, but no coffee maker, microwave, or even hair dryer. It was loud, right by the street, and the location wasn’t great. The lower price wasn’t worth it.

The front desk guy was top tier, and the staff were amazing. I had a beautiful stay and got a very reasonable price through hotels.com. I’ll definitely stay here whenever I’m in LA.
