Best Western Lawrenceburg Inn

The bed was really comfortable and breakfast was good. I had no issues, though I’d bring my own shampoo since theirs leaves hair very dry. There’s no lotion, either. Kroger, fast food, and Four Roses distillery are all nearby.

I travel alone this time to help a cousin who lives nearby. I stay at more than two dozen budget hotels a year, usually because my wife is a dog show addict. Comparing this stay with my usual Best Western, Red Roof, LA Quinta, Comfort Inn, and others, this BW was the cleanest and had the best food and politest staff of any budget hotel I’ve stayed in over the last 12 months.

The breakfast was adequate, parking was good, and the room, though small, was clean and looked new. The hot water was plentiful and properly hot. The TV was huge, with a large, excellent channel selection. I don’t usually stay at BE, but this was the closest hotel to the job, so I took a chance. The check-in desk was always staffed, and everyone was friendly and asked if they could help. They also match competitors’ rewards programs, so after this first stay in a while, I’m now ELITE there and more likely to come back.

I checked out at 3AM because I couldn’t take the smell anymore. At 2AM cigarette smoke woke me up. I put up with it at first, but about 20 minutes later it came back even stronger. I shouted in the hallway, “Stop smoking inside,” then called the front desk and asked them to enforce the smoking rules. Instead, they called the cops on me and let the smoking continue. Horrible service. Maybe smokers would like it since you can smoke in the rooms.
