Hampton Inn Lawrenceville Duluth

The only real letdown was the fitness room: the equipment was nice, but the container for disinfecting wipes was empty, so there was nothing to clean the machines before or after use. The hotel is handy for I 85 and the Gas South area; we were there for an event at GS Arena. Our room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was included, with waffles, eggs, potatoes, and meat. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay.

Ms. Regina at the front desk was such a delight. She helped me twice with reservation trouble, and when I finally checked in I had to stop and chat with her in person. Every staff member I met was kind, cheerful, and helpful, and the managers were excellent and set a great tone. The room was impeccably clean and quiet, though the doors can be a little loud. Odd-numbered rooms are on the quiet side if you want to ask for one. I liked being able to sign in to Netflix or Disney+ on the TV. The beds were very comfortable, the floors were clean enough that my feet stayed clean walking barefoot, and the bathroom had a real door instead of one of those heavy barn-door sliders. Great shower pressure, too, and the room has a nice little nightlight. Breakfast was just okay, not bad, but not as good as at other Hampton Inns. I don't usually review hotels unless they fall below expectations and I want to warn people, but this one exceeded mine. I'd recommend it to family and friends and would stay here again if I'm back in the area.

The fitness center was amazing, and breakfast was good with friendly staff. We got a warm welcome, and our room was clean and, more importantly, quiet since we were at the end of the hall. My only gripe: a group came in late and talked loudly in the breakfast area at 10 pm. I was reading there with noise-canceling headphones and could still hear them. The front desk let it continue even after I went back to my room. Not a huge deal, just worth mentioning. It was still a great stay and I'll likely come back.

The staff were kind and accommodating, and the breakfast was great, with chicken sausage, bagels, waffles, and different juices. I had trouble with the room temperature, so Jose (The Maintenance man) came that same day and replaced the thermostat. After that, everything was perfect.
