Mounts Motel

I was transferring to a school in the area and needed somewhere to stay, so I called to ask about rates. The person on the phone said they don't do monthly rates and told me the daily rate was $90.00, then hung up. I felt disrespected as a customer who was willing to pay that daily price. There was no phone etiquette or professionalism. I'll stop by to speak to someone in person. It's unacceptable to treat people who pay your bills that way.

The place is beautiful 🤩, the toilet seems to have a mind of its own, and there's only one lock on the door, no deadbolt. The bed is very squeaky, and they give you one big, beat-up Juicy pillow. Best hotel I've ever stayed in.

We aren't picky travelers, but the room was so tacky and unclean that we insisted on a refund as soon as we saw it. We were exhausted after a very long drive and still couldn't stay. The place is offered by the hour for other purposes. If all you need is somewhere clean to rest and sleep while traveling, do NOT go there. We ended up at the Red Roof Inn just down the road.

The Mount has always been known as an upscale place to discreetly meet someone for a good time. I was born and raised here, and it's one of the better hotels in the area, though I wouldn't call it a place for children or families. The employees aren't the friendliest, and it isn't the cleanest, but it's still better than most nearby.
