Hilton Garden Inn Lawton-Fort Sill

The hotel was very clean, the staff were courteous, and you could tell it was part of the Hilton family. We slept so well in the comfortable bed every night. But the AC in our room smelled funny, and by the third day I needed sinus medicine. We’d still recommend it if you want a clean, comfortable room at a good price without worry.

Ben makes sitting at the bar part of the experience. There’s an easy confidence to him, and he seems to know exactly what he’s doing without needing to say so. He’s strong, steady, and attractive, with a presence that makes you feel looked after before you’ve even ordered. Watching him work is half the fun. He handles the bottles and shakers precisely, pours thoughtfully, and builds drinks smoothly even when the bar is packed. He’s attentive without hovering, charming without going too far, and subtly flirty in a natural way. He remembers your drink, checks in at the right moments, and holds eye contact that can make you forget what’s going on around you. Conversation comes easily, with wit and just enough playfulness. The drinks are consistently excellent, balanced, and strong, and he clearly knows his craft. Whether it’s a classic or something custom, Ben delivers what you want, even if you don’t know how to ask for it. He brings a great energy to the place, and leaves an impression long after the glass is empty. If he’s working, I’m sitting at the bar.

The room was clean, the service was good, and the hotel was in a nice area. But Hilton charged us $10 per person for breakfast. We paid more than $300 for two nights, so I don’t think breakfast should have cost extra.

The pool was still open, which we really appreciated. There’s a large grassy area for kids and dogs, and a park within walking distance. Shops and restaurants are right in the parking lot. Our room was large, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The grout in the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, though, with mold and mildew along the bottom of the shower door.
