Motel 6-Lawton, OK

The daytime staff are cool as can be and will take care of an issue. Just make sure you deal with it before second shift. The night guy is so disrespectful, talking to people like they’re beneath him. I don’t know if he acts that way because I’m a woman or if he’s angry at the world, but if he hates people so much, he should find another job. He could make someone lose their freedom.

The people who checked us in were friendly, and the rundown facilities aren't their fault. We booked a king room through Expedia, but they said they didn't have a good room with that bed size and gave us a double instead. After one night we left and asked for a refund, which they denied. The room smelled of cigarettes, the tiny towels smelled musty, and the pillows were so gross we didn't use them. There were smashed insects and what looked like blood splatters on the walls, a hole in the bathtub, and a filthy door with poorly installed locks. Music blared all night, so we couldn't sleep. This was the worst Motel 6 experience I've had. Health authorities should shut it down.

My friend, who was staying with me, called while I was at work to say they claimed I hadn’t paid. I had paid and had even gone to the office that morning to check in. They expected me to leave work and cross town within minutes to prove it in person, instead of accepting a reservation number or another convenient way to check. When I got there, I was in their system. They'd simply failed to check before accusing me. We also asked for towels more than once and were refused. An older male housekeeper took my dirty towels and said he'd bring clean ones, but never did. I get that you get what you pay for, but that doesn't excuse someone banging on your door and demanding you leave soon because staff didn't check first. The care I got here was abhorrent.

There were sticky floors, doors that wouldn't close properly, dirty towels, low water pressure, and rude staff. The walls and floor had a lot of mystery stains, and one wall had a small hole. Definitely don't leave your car parked there if you don't want it messed up.
