SpringHill Suites Lawton

The breakfast was laid out very well and the food was good. The pool area was clean, and the water was a nice temperature. Most of the staff were friendly and willing to help. The rooms themselves had some problems: housekeeping wasn’t thorough, there was dried blood on the bathroom door, and they didn’t smell good. The TVs and remotes didn’t work, and when they did, there weren’t many channels to choose from. The bathroom areas were too small for suites.

Breakfast starts at 0630 each morning, but it’s nothing special. I stick to cereal because the eggs just aren’t great, and the gym is lacking and very hot. The rooms are clean and nice, usually large enough for 2-4 people to fit comfortably. They’re cleaned every day and the staff are friendly. For the room and service, the price is great.

My dad and daughter woke up with horrible itching, and when we raised it with the staff, they cancelled our reservation. The room was dirty, smelled bad, and had a smudge all over the bathroom light switch. The staff were rude. We’ve stayed here a few times over the years, so I was surprised how much it had gone downhill in the last six months. We’ll never stay here again.

The beds were very comfortable, and the hotel and room looked pretty clean. The layout was odd, with a bathtub or hot tub in the main bedroom area. I can’t see why that would be desirable. The carpets looked a little old and stained, but the location in Lawton was pretty good, easy to find, and the price was good for what’s offered.
