Columbine Inn and Suites

I was on a short ski trip and the complimentary breakfast was what really bothered me. Every plate, bowl, cup, knife, fork, spoon and other utensil was disposable plastic. Using single-use items for breakfast every day instead of proper dishes shows an astounding lack of environmental awareness. This should be illegal.

Just north of town, the location is great. The place is dated, but it's been kept up well, and our room was very clean.

The drag races on North Poplar, about 200 feet away, carry on into the evening, and then you wait for the inevitable crash. This is just a basic room for the night, with a tired room and staff who seemed distracted and uncaring. I hate the seasonal pricing here. It's not a resort or destination, yet they charge 50% more because the other places in town are just as bad. If you can, keep driving.

I've stayed here a couple times. The staff are really friendly and the rooms are pretty clean. The beds are about as comfortable as you'd expect. It's an old place with quirks, like faucets that need to sit in a very particular position to shut off all the way. You can hear highway traffic, too. Still, for a quick overnight stop, it's perfectly fine.
