The back doors and the room doors didn't lock properly, which made it hard to feel safe. Our sheets weren't properly washed either, with makeup residue still on them. The rooms felt dingy, with spray foam in the cracks and crevices. There was no help to speak of, and the night desk guy acted like doing his job was a bother. Ask him for anything and you get attitude.

Housekeeping did a great job each day, and my room was spotless. I felt welcome from the moment I arrived, thanks to the bright lobby and the hotel's pool and fitness center. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel to visitors in the area.

The location is perfect for getting to and from Cooper Mt., and we'd stay again for the convenience. The walls are so thin, though. Noise from upstairs and the hallway made it really hard to fall asleep, so light sleepers should bring earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones. Breakfast choices are limited; we went up the road for breakfast in downtown Leadville. One more thing for the owners: please repaint the parking lines, because nobody can park worth a damn, lol.

The front desk man was rude and wouldn't listen. Several of us were there for a prepaid work trip, and some only learned late that they had to come. With snow and slick roads, a number of people arrived after 10 pm. The desk person leaves at 10 and doesn't return until 6am, so the hotel is left unattended for up to nine hours. What if someone needs to check in late, gets stranded, or there's an emergency? The whole situation seemed very unprofessional. When I got to my room, the door was already open, so anyone could walk in without a key. Traveling alone, that felt scary.
