Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Leavenworth

The small decorative pillows were a fun touch. The room and hotel are beautifully designed, with space that feels both useful and carefully thought out. Everything seemed new and high quality, which made the stay feel that much better.

The staff are nice, and it's a good place to stay overall. There was a slight smell when we entered the room, though, and you could hear everything when someone used the bathroom. Soundproofing between rooms could be better too.

The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I loved the pool, and the new hotel looks stunning. The lighting under the bed works as a handy night light, too. Someone told me the horse pictured in the main lobby is Sven from the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm. I thought that was a special little detail!

At checkout I brought up the heater issue again. I was told a manager would get in touch, but nobody followed up, and no compensation was offered. That was disappointing service for what should have been a premium suite stay. We booked a King Suite, but around 8 PM we realized the bedroom heater wasn't working. My son was already asleep, and it may have been dead from the moment we got the room. We called the front desk and someone came up, but she didn't understand the problem. She said she'd either fix it or move us. After 20 minutes with no update, I went down and was told they'd get back to us soon. Another 20 minutes passed, so I called again. They said there were no suites available, only a much smaller king room, which wasn't practical with a sleeping toddler and all our luggage. I was able to see suite rooms available for that day on their website. In the end, we set the living room heater to 80°F just to warm the bedroom. That was uncomfortable and not what you'd expect from a suite.
