River's Edge Lodge

We left the window open to hear the river, and the view was perfect. Every room had a little table and chairs set up to enjoy it. The owners made us feel very welcome, the bed was comfortable, and our room was a nice size. All the rooms have river views.

We've returned many times over the past 15 years and will keep coming back whenever we need a place in the area. After a long travel day, it's so relaxing to watch the rafters go by with the river right outside. The rooms are clean and have no unpleasant smell, and the view is beautiful. On this visit, a noisy family was next door. The owners tried to sort it out and eventually moved us a few rooms down, which worked perfectly. They're friendly and accommodating.

It's very dated and could use some cosmetic work, but the place is solid, clean, and comfortable, with nice river access. They provided plenty of towels. There's no breakfast, pool, or hot tub, so bring your own breakfast.

The owners were incredibly hospitable. Heavy snow left us unable to get up the hill to the main road in our two-wheel-drive car, and one of them kindly offered to drive us into town and pick us up. I've never had that level of hospitality at a hotel or motel. They served coffee and cookies in the morning, and there were vending and ice machines down the hall for drinks. The location is right by the river, close to downtown, and less than two minutes from Safeway. I'd stay here again in Leavenworth. Our room felt homey, with a fake fireplace, table and chairs, closet, microwave, mini fridge, TV, and a nice bathroom. The heater was fantastic in the cold, and the table came in handy for wrapping Christmas gifts. The bed was amazing, with gorgeous blankets and comfy pillows, and the river view from the window was stunning.
