We couldn’t get the room dark enough to sleep in. The blackout curtains wouldn’t meet, leaving a gap of about four feet, so you’ll wake when the sun comes up. If you want to sleep later, you’d need to tape foil over the window. Friends at Holiday Inn and suites had blackout shades. I included a photo of our room at 6 a.m. Getting help from the front desk was another issue, we had to yell before anyone came over. Never again.

I was here for two weeks for a course, so having a full fridge with freezer and a stovetop was a huge help. I did laundry every few days, too. The amenities were great, though I never had time to try the pool. The price was pretty good. I spent a lot of time studying with my group in the lobby and got to know the staff. They were incredibly sweet, patient, and helpful. The free coffee was so good, and whenever the machine broke or needed supplies, they fixed or restocked it quickly. That was a lifeline for me and several people in my course. The location was handy: just two minutes from bakers, including the light, and 30 minutes from O&P DME. The only little issue was the shower on the third floor facing the highway. I got lukewarm water for about 20 minutes before it turned hot, so you may need to let it run awhile.

I really liked the well-equipped room and full kitchen. It came with a big refrigerator and ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, cooktop, and other appliances.

At 11 p.m., the night shift sent a police officer to knock on our door. It made our dog bark and woke our two-year-old. We were accused of letting kids run around the halls unattended. When I went to ask the front desk why our room had been singled out, the woman there was extremely rude and disrespectful. The pool water was murky and gross, there was no shampoo in the room, and the dishwasher was full of dishes. I don’t know if I’m supposed to unload someone else’s dishes, but it shouldn’t be my job. I’d recommend a different hotel.
