Holiday Inn Express Lebanon by IHG

I slept so well in those starch white, cloud-soft sheets and pillows, with the perfect comforter, that I got up too late for the breakfast everyone raved about. What a treat. The bathroom and shower were beautiful, and this is by far the cleanest hotel I've seen in years. The lobby coffee, regular and decaf, was perfect and available 24/7. I spoke with three staff members, and they were all so nice and friendly and spoke perfect English. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and such a gift. We went back and forth between the hot tub and pool, playing for over an hour. Definitely recommend it. Don't tell too many people 😉 it's a rare gem!

I was disgusted by this last-minute one-night stay. The pool was cold, so I couldn't relax, the TV was broken, and the luggage cart kept falling over. At least the bed appeared clean and was about as comfortable as you could expect from a place this terrible. Luckily, work covered the cost. I tried to reach management, but nobody was at the front desk. Calling from the room just rang and rang. Checkout was a disaster, so I just left.

The pool ceiling collapsed after we checked in, and nobody told us we might be able to cancel for free because it happened after check-in. My daughter had been looking forward to swimming, so that was really disappointing. The pool lost water too. We couldn't sleep because the heater wouldn't shut off. No matter what temperature I set on the thermostat, the room stayed at 80 degrees and was extremely warm. Breakfast was okay for something included.

The hotel had a lot of problems: the pool was ice cold, the hot tub didn't work, towels smelled like burnt rubber, and the TV sound kept cutting in and out. The luggage carts had broken wheels, there was garbage in the hallways, breakfast was cold, and the lobby and hallways smelled bad. The hotel offered 2500 IHG points if I'd take down my negative review. I declined. This review is about what I experienced, and other people should know. You can't pay or bribe someone to remove a review just to make it look like you only get good ones. Fix the hotel's issues and this won't be a problem.
