Howard Johnson by Wyndham Williamstown

The staff were nice, and the room did the job for one night. It was dated, a bit musty, and not as clean as it should’ve been. The bathroom outlet didn’t work, the hard boiled eggs at breakfast weren’t fully cooked, and even though the room was for four people, we only got two towels.

Breakfast was the part that really let us down. The waffle batter seemed off, and the apple juice tasted awful, so we settled for toast and hoped that was safe. It was disappointing to expect a basic edible breakfast for the room price, especially with a Dunkin' Donuts just down the road. The Howard Johnson has an old-fashioned outdoor motel feel. We liked the bright colors in the room, though there were lots of scrapes on the painted walls. Things felt old, but the room was still generally comfortable. The bathroom could really use towel racks.

The pool area out back was a nice spot, with chairs and a picnic table. My room looked recently updated and was clean and quiet. Everyone I met on staff was pleasant and checked that I had what I needed during my three-night stay. Give this place a shot!

Don’t judge the place by its outside. The staff are some of the best I’ve met while traveling, the pool is great, the shower pressure is good, and the AC worked perfectly. I’ll definitely stop here again if I’m back in the area.
