Hampton Inn Champaign/Urbana

We stayed almost two months, and management gave us a generous rate that we’ll always be grateful for. Maria and her team made us feel cared for and comfortable. From management to the support staff, everyone was hardworking, kind, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were super clean, and there’s something magical about the pillows, so comfortable to sleep on. Breakfast was great, and the location felt safe and was ideal, close to U of I, restaurants, and shopping centers. Thank you to Maria and the whole team. We simply can’t thank you enough. 210% recommended. Forever grateful ❤️

The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, especially manager Maria, whose genuine concern made a difference at every step. I’ll remember that. My mother and I needed somewhere to rest and refresh while a family member was receiving care at Carle Foundation Hospital. This place was a real respite during a difficult time, and it was very close and convenient. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I can’t recommend it enough. Coffee lovers, there’s fresh coffee 24/7 at a great coffee bar, and it’s included!

I’m a Diamond member with over 100 stays last year, and I’m not happy with Hilton/Hampton Inn at all. There was lots of space, but no microwave either, though I don’t need one and you might want to request one if you do. They added a $50 incidental fee at check-in, then refunded it at checkout. Why charge it when they already have my card number in the system from paying for the room? I usually stay at Hamptons because the rooms have refrigerators, so I went out of my way to stay here. It’s far off the interstate and not convenient. I have meds that need refrigeration, but this Hampton Inn has limited refrigerators, and one has to be requested during booking. They couldn’t provide one, so I had to leave my meds in the lobby refrigerator. Good luck.

At 4:30am, I needed to clear snow off my vehicle, and Mark was working the front desk and getting breakfast ready. He kindly lent me the snow brush from his own vehicle, a really nice gesture. Desiree helped me check in with patience and courtesy while I sorted out my Hilton rewards program. She found me a very good last minute rate and mentioned doing her good deed for the day. That inspired me to do the same at the restaurant next door, where I anonymously bought supper for a family of six. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing a room in Urbana, Illinois.
