I needed two quiet nights away with my two beagles while my partner’s family took over her care after major neurosurgery. The care and kindness from everyone at Camptown made it the restorative break I needed, and I’m so grateful. I’d eaten at Casa Susanna before and loved it each time, but this was my first stay at the hotel, in a standard cabin. Both the hotel and restaurant are wonderful. I can’t wait to return with my beloved once she’s fully healed and introduce her to the people who looked after me so well. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. -Barbara
We stayed with Mom for her birthday, and the service and accommodations were wonderful. It’s a rustic, welcoming hotel, and the staff are friendly. The lobby has some good places to work remotely if you need to, and the coffee is strong. Be sure to try the frozen margaritas at the pool bar. We’ll be back to Camptown.
We only stayed one night, but everyone was generous and kind. Henry gave us special care, and Room 28 had everything we needed: AC, heat, a full bathroom, a king bed, and the best pillows ever. We really enjoyed the pool. A small bathroom and shower by the pool would be nice. Highly recommend, and we’ll see you soon!
The restaurant is fantastic, and we really enjoyed our stay in our cabin. It’s a charming place. I’d have rated it five stars, but the room photos seem to show the largest, most expensive cabins, which can make people think they’re booking a nicer room. Other reviews mention this, and it seems like an easy thing to fix, but the photos are still there. It feels misleading, and guests may leave disappointed. We got lucky and liked our cabin anyway.
Camptown is a quiet, cozy cabin stay in the Catskills, and it welcomes pets. They even greeted my dog with a treat, water bowl, and towel of her own. Casa Susanna, the on-site restaurant, serves incredible food and clearly puts care into every dish. The recognition it gets is well deserved. Try the in-house masa tortillas. I’ll definitely return.
