Getting a refund has been a mess. After our truck's transmission broke on the way there, I tried calling and emailing, but couldn't reach anyone. They still charged the full weekend rate, even though the trip was meant to be a carefree break while I was dealing with brain surgery. The transmission repair alone cost us $7000. I was told I had to speak with someone to get my money back, but nobody would answer. When the front manager finally called, she denied charging me and asked for a copy of my bank statement. I gave her the confirmation number and my name, but she said they didn't have my reservation. She wouldn't tell me her first name, said she was the front manager, and then hung up. I never used foul language; I was just asking for a refund. It's frustrating that the phone apparently works when they want to call me, but no one answers when I call. They were rude over one reservation, and I worry they'll treat other people the same way. Be careful before giving them your business.

The price was reasonable for the area, but I wouldn't stay again. The cabin felt like a tiny box, and it was dirty, with an old dingy rug, couch and wrinkled curtains. The tables were scratched and worn, and the walls need paint. We sat on a folding chair from the outside deck. The outlet was too hard to reach for my CPAP, and the microwave was tiny. The refrigerator was a decent size and had a small freezer.

We don't ask for much, just clean sheets, a reasonably clean floor, a clean bathroom and no smoking. The sheets were clean. That was about it; the place was pretty grimy. I even pack hotel socks!

The road noise was noticeable, and check-in was confusing because the website details didn't match what was posted on the office door. That sign isn't much help until you're already there. The cabin itself was small and very basic, shabby and due for an update. Its curtain was just a piece of fabric that barely covered the windows. The bed and shower were okay, though.

We booked at the last minute because we needed somewhere along the way to our next stop. The price worked for us, and I wasn't disappointed. The cabin was tidy, clean and well kept, and the bed was comfortable. Hot water was a little chilly, and the AC was really loud, but I still slept like a baby. Cute cabin, great price.
