The coffee was great, especially the bold roast I had, and breakfast had plenty of choices. We love staying here because it's so central and makes it easy to get where I want to go.

We asked for a noon checkout, but at 11 a.m. someone was banging on the door and we were made to leave. When we got back after four hours, our room had been left open. It was supposed to be cleaned, but nobody ever did it. The toilet wasn't properly bolted down, the TV didn't work right, and there was loud running and thumping overhead very late at night. The manager didn't seem very concerned about the trouble. I wouldn't recommend this place unless they make serious changes soon.

I'm here every week for work and haven't had an issue they didn't fix right away. Everyone's friendly, and being able to walk to Texas Roadhouse is a nice bonus. Best hotel in Waco.

Hours after I had settled into my room, Comfort Suites Waco (Laselle) told me pets weren't allowed, even though they'd accepted my booking and taken my prepaid pet fee. Then they charged me an arbitrary $150. I tried to explain and showed them their own acceptance of my pet, but management disappeared instead of acknowledging or correcting the mistake. Taking the fee and then penalizing me later for their error is completely unacceptable. I'll use every channel I can to make this poor service known and get my money back.

The place is a little older, which is why I'd give it a 7.5/10. It's clean, affordable, and the staff and breakfast are both great. The entrance is oddly laid out, and I accidentally came in through the back. After tax it felt just a bit overpriced, especially since a newer hotel with a restaurant is only a few dollars more.
