The hotel was unclean and felt poorly maintained, and this was a very disappointing stay. As a solo traveler, I felt uncomfortable from check-in onward. The front desk woman didn't greet me and barely spoke while checking me in. She had her papers neatly lined up, then made me wait while she realigned all the others after removing mine. The only thing she said was when she handed me the key. Her shirt said something like “don't talk to me” or “stay away,” which fit how she acted. I told her I wasn't comfortable in a first-floor room beside three young men. When I came back to ask about changing rooms, she looked irritated and said she couldn't help. I politely asked why I couldn't move to one of the other available rooms, and she seemed annoyed even to deal with the question. I was left on the first floor. She showed no willingness to offer basic service or understanding. I wouldn't recommend this hotel because of this experience alone. Why have this person at the front desk greeting customers?

At 5pm they sent me a confirmation, then at 11:50pm emailed to say they'd canceled my room because of overbooking. They gave the room away without any availability and never called. Zero stars.

I slept badly, which reminded me why saving money on the room isn't always worth it. I don't like hotels where I can't control the temperature. There was a wall unit that looked like a thermostat and was supposed to run the HVAC, but it didn't work.

The towels were filthy, with dirt on them, and disgusting to use. There wasn't a coffee machine or even hot water for tea. Breakfast isn't included, and paying for it isn't a good deal. I wouldn't recommend this place.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable, and reception staff were friendly, though slow. A couple of things needed fixing: the chair cover was peeling and looked bad, and the bathroom door had deep gouges on the outside that needed filling and paint. Getting into the hotel was unappealing and confusing enough that I wondered if the neighborhood was undesirable. It was probably a nice property when new, but could use some updating.
