Fairfield Inn & Suites Kansas City Lee's Summit

The rooms are spacious and kept up really well, and the employees I met were helpful, knowledgeable, and seemed to like their jobs. It's in a good spot, close to lots of shopping and restaurants and not too far from the main interstates and highways. Not a bad hotel.

The room was clean, everything worked as it should, and the stay was decent. The bed was alright, though I should've picked the side that had been slept on less, lol. I expected more from the name, and I'm not sure I'd come back at $148 a night. It was still a far better stay than at either Comfort Inn and Suites in Lee's Summit, Mo.

The staff I met were amazing, and breakfast was delicious, clean, and well stocked. The room was a different story. I used the bathroom right after arriving, splashed water, then wiped the vanity with a provided towel. It came away covered in someone else's hair, and there was hair in the shower too. One pillow had a bloody streak, one bed's sheet was heavily stained, and there was hair all over the beds, pillows, and blankets. Behind the trash can, a used coffee cup was stuffed with more trash. The carpets throughout the building were badly stained, the elevator smelled moldy, and the cobwebs in the “fitness center” made it clear how well it was cleaned. At $180/night, they need to do better. I usually choose these hotels, but this one has me reconsidering where to stay.

The included breakfast was a nice bonus, and we especially liked the quiches. The property was clean and comfortable, in a great location, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We had a great experience.
